Program
A Spanish immersion program built on play, hands-on learning, and school readiness.
Our Curriculum
At Escuelita Colibrí, our curriculum combines Spanish language immersion, hands-on learning, and school readiness skills. Children build vocabulary naturally through themed activities, songs, stories, art, and everyday conversations. Each year builds upon the last, helping children develop language, confidence, and a strong foundation for future learning.
Our program is aligned with key kindergarten readiness goals and is enriched through ongoing guidance and professional development from an SFUSD Transitional Kindergarten educator.
Learning Through Play
Play is the heart of learning at Escuelita Colibrí. Through exploration, creativity, and hands-on experiences, children develop problem-solving skills, independence, and confidence while having fun.
Whether they are building, creating art, exploring nature, or engaging in imaginative play, children learn to think critically, communicate with others, and make sense of the world around them. Our balanced approach combines meaningful play with early academic experiences to prepare children for kindergarten and beyond.
Social-Emotional Learning
Strong relationships are the foundation of a child's success. Our low teacher-to-child ratios allow us to provide individualized support while helping children build confidence, independence, and positive social skills.
Through daily interactions, children learn how to share, cooperate, express their feelings, solve problems, and develop meaningful friendships in a caring and supportive environment.
